Design Faster, Earn More

Streamline your process to produce more designs, increase efficiency, and grow your income

Many designers assume each set of motifs is limited to one design, leading to hours of work for minimal return. When you factor in research, painting, and cleaning up motifs, your hourly rate can drop below minimum wage. However, by learning how to re-use hand-painted elements across multiple designs, you can dramatically boost your productivity and income.

WHAT STUDENTS SAY
Rebecca, a student of The Print School

My favourite module was on colour palettes. It made me conscious about colour in context and us it as a source of inspiration. Now I feel more confident about my choices, about light and harmonies.

- Elizabeth, New York USA

It’s worth every penny, the skills and techniques are invaluable to surface designers.

I loved [this] course. I have studied design for five years and am working as a textiles designer but this course gave me short cuts and tricks that have sped up my design process.

We are Longina Phillips Designs, a world-leading surface design studio.
We're proud creators of stunning textile and surface designs gracing the collections of world-renowned brands.  As one of the world's leading studios, we've gathered our in-house team to share their design and painting skills with you.

Meet Your Instructors

Meet Sara, she's our Head of Sales, senior designer and all-round finger-in-all-the-pies person! As Lola's (our founder) daughter, Sara has grown up in the studio, she lives and breathes Print. She's also had her own fashion label and had a Homewares side business.

Bec began her career in fashion design before discovering her true passion for pattern. As Creative Director, she works closely with designers and clients around the world, gaining years of insight into what makes a print truly sell. She brings this real industry knowledge into every part of her work — guiding our in-house team and mentoring TPS students with the same expertise. But before all of that, she simply loved to draw.

Lyndsay is the Creative Lead and Senior Designer at Longina Phillips Design for the last four and half years. Lyndsay trained at Edinburgh University and after working in the UK market, came to Australia and discovered our unique approach to colour.

Katrina is a senior textile designer here at LPD. She has worked at the studio for 11 years. She studied a BFA at COFA majoring in drawing and painting before turning her hand to textile design.
