Terms & Conditions

The Print School (Longina Phillips Pty Ltd ACN 003 523 564) provides its services to you on the following terms and conditions (Terms + Conditions). When you purchase any online course, program or membership offered by The Print School (Training) you agree to these Terms + Conditions.

Training

Details of all our courses are available online. If you need any further information, please contact our team at info@theprintschool.com.

Eligibility

You must be 18 years or older to purchase Training, or have the consent of a parent or legal guardian who accepts these Terms + Conditions on your behalf.

Some courses require a basic working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop. Any prerequisites are listed on the relevant course page.

Purchases & Payment

Training is purchased via The Print School website. Access is granted once full payment has been received.

Payment can be made by credit card or PayPal.

Course Access

You will have access to your Training for the lifetime of The Print School from the date of purchase, unless otherwise stated on the course page.

Refunds & Transfers

Purchases are non-refundable, except where The Print School cancels or withdraws Training before you receive access, or where a refund is required by law.

Purchases can only be amended or transferred with the prior approval of The Print School, at its absolute discretion.

Nothing in these Terms + Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.

Changes to Training

The Print School reserves the right to substitute, change, update or remove any part of the Training, including course content, tutors and live session times, at any time. If a scheduled live session is changed or cancelled, you will be notified by email using the contact details you provided at purchase.

What You Need

• Computer: a Mac or Windows desktop or laptop able to run current Adobe Creative Cloud software. Lessons can be watched on a tablet or phone, but projects need to be completed on a computer.
• Software: current versions of Adobe Photoshop and/or Illustrator. Specific software requirements are listed on each course page.
• Internet: a stable broadband connection suitable for streaming video.
• Browser: a current version of Chrome, Safari, Edge or Firefox.
• Skills: basic computer skills, including managing files and downloading and installing software.

Certificates

Students who complete all modules of a course will receive a Certificate of Completion.

Account Use

Registration is for a single user only. You must not share, give or sell your username or password to any other person or entity. Excessive viewings or logins may be treated by The Print School as fraudulent use of the Training materials and will result in immediate termination of access without refund. You agree to take all reasonable steps to protect your login details from unauthorised use.

Conduct & Termination

The Print School reserves the right to refuse, limit, suspend or terminate your access to Training for any reasonable cause, including if you:

• are abusive, aggressive, threatening, disruptive or insulting towards The Print School staff or other students in any channel, including course comments, community spaces, live sessions, email or social media
• post or share offensive, illegal or otherwise inappropriate content or material
• do not respect the privacy or confidentiality of other students
• share your login details or any Training materials with others
• require unusual or extensive services beyond the scope of these Terms + Conditions or The Print School's typical service offerings
• otherwise breach these Terms + Conditions.

If your access is terminated in any of these circumstances, no refund will be available.

Personal Information

You agree and understand it is necessary for The Print School to collect, process and use your personal information in order to provide the Training. Your information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy [LINK].

You may also receive requests to take part in student surveys.

Copyright & Course Materials

All Training materials, including videos, workbooks, templates and files, are owned by The Print School and licensed to you solely for your personal use to complete the Training.

You must not screen record, copy, reproduce, republish, download (other than files provided for download), post, broadcast, transmit, share, sell, make available to the public, commercially exploit or otherwise use any Training materials, in part or in full, except for your own personal use to complete the Training.

You must not adapt, alter or create a derivative work from any Training materials except for your own personal use to complete the Training.

You must not upload or input any Training materials into artificial intelligence tools, or use them to train, fine-tune or prompt any artificial intelligence model.

Any other use of The Print School materials requires our prior written permission.

Student Work

You own the copyright in any original images, drawings or other artistic works you create during the Training (Projects). If you post your Projects online (for example on Instagram, Facebook or YouTube), you must ensure they do not use any material that infringes another person's copyright. If you wish to use such material, you should seek appropriate clearance from the copyright owner. Further information on copyright is available at www.copyright.org.au.

You acknowledge that Projects you create may resemble the Projects of other students completing the same or similar Training, or third party designs. You should keep records, such as dated working files and sketches, as proof that your Projects are your original work. The Print School is not required to participate in any dispute relating to copyright in Projects created by a student.

You agree that The Print School may, without further permission, reproduce, post and otherwise use any Project you submit, upload or share with The Print School for the purposes of promoting The Print School and the Training, including in publicity, media, promotional and marketing material. The Print School is not required to identify you as the author, and to the extent permitted by law you consent to any act or omission that would otherwise infringe your moral rights in the Project.

Live Sessions

The Print School may record live online sessions, including the names, images, voices and comments of participating students, and use these recordings for course delivery, promotional, advertising and archival purposes. The Print School will not identify a student by their full name without their express permission.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, and whether in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise, The Print School and its affiliates, employees and agents will not be liable for any special, indirect, incidental or consequential loss or damage arising from the Training, including loss of data, business, profits, revenue or anticipated savings.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the total aggregate liability of The Print School and its affiliates, employees and agents for any and all claims arising in connection with the Training will not exceed the amount you paid for the Training.

You are responsible for backing up your own files and data. The Print School is not liable for any loss, damage or corruption of your files or data.

Nothing in this section excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee or right you have under the Australian Consumer Law.

Changes to these Terms + Conditions

The Print School may update these Terms + Conditions from time to time. The version published on our website at the time of your purchase applies to that purchase.

Jurisdiction

These Terms + Conditions are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, without regard to conflict of law principles, and the parties irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
